Click a text field in the app you’re using. A message, an email, a prompt. That’s where your words will go.

Open Yapper with Win + F1. The mic is ready. Pick a mode before dictating; change the shortcut in settings.

Raw writes progressively. AI modes insert a finished block at a natural pause. Keep talking when you’re ready.

A little more about the little bird.
Does Yapper work on my computer?
Yapper is built for Windows. Speech and AI models use your PC’s memory and processing power. Smaller models need fewer resources; larger models can improve results but take more space and time. We’ll publish the supported installer and setup guide with the public release.
Can I use it with my existing apps?
Yapper inserts text into the field you’ve focused, so you can dictate into messages, documents and prompts. Compatibility can vary with the app and its permissions. Change focus deliberately before you start recording.
Is everything processed locally?
Whisper transcription and AI transformations run locally in the desktop app. Initial downloads require internet access. Website registration, sign-in and account management are separate online services.
Does it translate while I speak?
Translation and reorganization are committed in blocks at natural pauses. You can keep the microphone on between blocks. Yapper doesn’t continuously rewrite text you’ve already typed.
Can I create my own modes?
Yes. Add a mode, write a short instruction, and choose its behavior in settings. You can edit, duplicate and reorder modes. Small local models work best with clear, focused instructions.
What happens if an AI transformation fails?
Yapper falls back to the original Whisper transcription and briefly marks the mode icon with a red X. You get the recognized words instead of silently losing them.
How much does it cost?
We’re preparing the first public release. Pricing and download availability will be announced before purchases open. Creating an account doesn’t start a subscription or charge you.
